About Me
I graduated from NYU Shanghai in 2017, where I was accepted with a full ride scholarship plus stipend, thanks to my SAT/ACT scores and personal statement. The fact that I could enter the world debt-free from one of the most expensive schools in America was an eye-opening realization, which made me committed to try helping other students get the same opportunity I was given.
In 2017, I worked for a tutoring company founded by a therapist, who trained me in integrating cognitive-based therapy techniques (CBT) and mindfulness training into the context of academic tutoring. The focus was for kids who need academic help and also struggle with anxiety, depression, and other disaffectations.
I also founded a hedge fund.
In 2019, forced to choose between my hedge fund and tutoring, I chose the latter.
Since then, I've had the honor and privilege of guiding students from all over the world to reach their highest potentials, both in the exams and in their lives.
I have taught at the prestigious Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland.
My students know me for being patient, yet direct. They know I can explain anything for them, but they also know my one goal is to make them see that they can, too.
I am fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Mandarin, and proficient in German.
I tutor most academic subjects up to the AP/IB level, and also prepare younger students for placement tests such as the ISEE; contact me directly for specific inquiries.
