Why CHAMP?
The CHAMP Method revolves around cultivating the five elements of a CHAMP. These five elements exist in all of us. Many people can easily identify with one or two elements as something that comes naturally. The METHOD is a step-by-step way to unlock the rest of them, while using the standardized test as an object of our focus.
The Confident Student Learns Humility
The Method starts from an element the student can already identify with. If a student is especially Confident, for example, their next challenge is Humility (Or, as we like to call it, "The real reason you should read the whole question, and double-check as soon as you finish). From there, a student who is Confident-yet-Humble is very likely to understand the other three elements without much effort: Alacrity, then Mindfulness, then Patience.
The Unconfident Student Learns Patience--And Discovers Confidence
Many students lack Confidence to begin with. These are students who always doubt their first choice. Since these students are often the same students who pay the most attention to their thoughts, a concept such as Mindfulness is a much easier starting place for them.
A student armed with Mindfulness can be trained in Patience--that is, Patience with one's self, so that we have the chance to see what we're capable of in the first place. Self-Confidence takes root and grows when we allow it to do so. When it finally does, it only keeps growing from there!
